Today on the blog I am talking about what I carry with me in my travel makeup bag. Right now I am at my parent's house for a couple of days before I fly out to California to spend time with my fiancé's family. So this holiday season I am traveling more than usual. For me my travel makeup bag is vital and must be a mix of products I can use for every occasion while still having only a minimal amount of products.
I only usually wear foundation, BB Cream or CC Cream on more important occasions when I know pictures will be taken and during the holidays pictures are sure thing. So for CC Cream I brought with me Perfekt Skin Perfection CC Cream in Luminous. This stuff can go on light or it can be buildable. I usually like to apply a small amount to my skin just because I personally hate the feeling of wearing face makeup all over my face. To make sure my CC Cream stays in place I first prime with L'Oreal Studio Secrets Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer and set my CC Cream with Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transparent. Both of this products help my makeup last all day and all night. To coverup under eye circles and to brighten up my face I use Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer in Brightener. I apply this under my eyes in a triangle shape, on my chin, nose, cupid's bow, and forehead. It really helps highlight and brighten up my face. To cover spots and unfortunate breakouts I reach for Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer in Light. I apply this using my fingertips and let it sit on my skin for a minute before I start blending it in with my Beauty Blender. If I want to add color to my cheeks because I feel like my skin looks a little dull I apply Korres Cheek Butter in Philia Pink. This is a great cream blush that gives my cheek a nice natural flush that will go with any look!
For me the number one thing I have to have with me when I travel is an eyeshadow pallet that can be used for any look. During the day I tend to go for a very basic natural look but sometimes at night I enjoy a more smokey eye look. In my opinion the best eyeshadow pallet to travel with is the Urban Decay Naked Palette. You can do any look with this pallet and it comes with the brush inside and a mirror for easy makeup on the go. For a base for my eyeshadows or for when I am feeling lazy I use Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze. For brows I stick with Benefit Gimme Brow. This is the only brow product I use and I love it! For mascara I use a travel size of Tarte Gifted Amazonian Clay Mascara. This mascara adds lots of length to short lashes.
When it comes to lips I usually only bring a lipstick for a night look and some sort of tinted balm for the day. For a night time I am obsessed with wearing Nars Audacious Lipstick in Charlotte. This is the perfect oxblood burgundy color for the fall and winter seasons. For the day time I enjoy wearing Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments and for this trip I picked up the treatment in the shade Rosé. This is a great lip product because it also has SPF 15. For a lipliner I just stick with my trusty Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil in Ozone because it goes on clear and you never know when you might need some much needed lipstick retail therapy!
