Today on the blog it is all about my night time skin care routine. My skin type is combination, but more on the dry end currently because it is winter time. My skin usually only breaks out right before that time of the month but recently due to stress my skin has freaked out and I am currently battling some pretty bad breakouts (I haven't had a breakout this bad since my freshman year of college). All the products listed are the products I use on a consist nightly basis.
After I take off all my makeup I start my skincare routine off by cleansing my face. I love the Buche de Noel cleanser from Lush because it not only cleans my face but also exfoliates it. I take a dime size amount on my fingertips and add a little bit of water and rub the product between my hands. I then apply the product all over my face. I will massage this into my skin for 3 to 5 minutes and then wash it off my face with warm water.
At least 3 to 4 times a week I will do a face mask after I cleanse my face. When my skin is feeling really dry I use the Andalou Natural's Glycolic Pumpkin Brightening Mask to help remove dead skin. When I am trying to battle a zit I reach for Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Charcoal Face Mask. I bought this specific mask when I was in the UK but there are plenty of other great charcoal masks out there. I let the masks sit on my face for 10-15 minutes and then remove them with a wash cloth soaked in warm water.
After the mask I will spritz my face all over with the Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herb and Rosewater. I let this dry on my face before I move on to the next step.
I have some spots on my face from previous breakouts and I feel like this stuff helps the spots become less noticeable over time. I apply two pumps of this all over my face, concentrating more on areas where I have spots. I take 2 to 3 minutes to massage this into my face. I let the peel dry on my skin before I move on to the next step.
The Andalou Natural's Night Repair Cream is such a thick product that my skin loves! I apply this all over my face and neck in a thin, even layer.
This is another product I picked up when I was in the UK, but any eye cream will work fine. My secret tip for any eye cream is to leave it in your fridge. Applying the cold eye cream to your under eye area will have an instant cooling effect and help depuff your eyes. I just apply a small drop of this gel to my ring fingers and apply it all over my under eye area.
