The Blogger Recognition Award!!!

Hey y'all! So I was recently nominated for the Blogger Recognition Award!

I was nominated by the lovely Miriam of It's My Life! She is literally so sweet and if you get a chance you should really check out her blog! I'm not going to lie I may have cried a little bit when I found out I had been nominated. Some may see this as a little bit of an over reaction but they were happy tears. I haven't been blogging for a very long time and to be recognized and nominated for something is just mind boggling to me. I am so grateful for every single one of my readers! You guys are all so amazing! This nomination is also great because I have been wanting to do something on my blog that recognizes other blogs and bloggers! The blogging community is full of such talented, sweet, and dedicated individuals and they should be recognized for all their hard work!

How the Laws of Beauty Got Started

I started this blog as an outlet and fun activity to do to distract myself from the stress of law school. One of the things that they tell you in law school is that you need to make sure that you dedicate some of your day to doing something that you love. For me I have always loved reading blogs about beauty, fashion, DIY, cooking, travel, ect. and finally got the motivation to start my own blog! I have only been blogging for less than 2 months and I have already talked to so many amazing bloggers and people. Your comments make my day and I am glad that people are getting the same enjoyment from my blog that I get when I read someone else's blog! This blog and the blogging community has become such a joyful part of my life and I cannot wait for what is to come!

Advice for Other Bloggers

*Disclaimer* I am by no means an expert but this is what I have found to be helpful.

Interact with other Bloggers/Blogs

Since I have started my blog I have become a more active member of the blogging community. There are so many blogs out there and so many nice and amazing bloggers behind these blogs! I have discovered so many blogs using Instagram and Youtube as a starting point. I read the same blogs as often as I can, sometimes when I wake up in the morning or at night before I go to bed. I comment on blogs a lot not just to get my blogs name out there but because I genuinely enjoy what they are writing on their blogs and want to give them encouragement to keep doing what they are doing! I love seeing other people's creative perspectives on their blogs.

Be True to Who You Are

Be yourself. I know it sounds super simple but it is the most important piece of advice that I can give. You won't enjoy blogging if you are blogging about something that you are not passionate about. Insert who you are into your blog as best you can, use your voice, your ideas, and let your readers get to know you. It can be scary putting yourself out there on the Internet but if you do you will meet so many wonderful, sweet, and genuine people. So be yourself, let people get to know you for you.
